Love Island viewers predicted the end was on the horizon for Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, as she shrugged when he tried to get cosy with her - and she soon told him he was "too intense".
Following drama between the couple and Luca clearly being threatened by her private chats with her ex Jacques O'Neill, Gemma appeared to make her feelings clear during Wednesday's episode.
As Luca pulled her in for a cuddle in bed, she was seen moving away before calling him out.
Luca asked if Gemma wanted to spoon with him, and she replied: "No, you're too intense."
Viewers said the moment was a "red flag" about Luca, as others were glad she told him to cool things as they agreed that he was "too much".
It comes after Luca was furious in the previous episode, when Gemma made quite the blunder following the arrival of her ex-boyfriend Jacques.
She accidentally called Luca 'Jacques', and it was picked up on by several of her co-stars including Luca, and Paige Thorne who is currently pared up with the newcomer.
Luca seemed to be giving Gemma a back massage, as they got cosy after the first dumping of the series and the departure of Afia Tonkmor.
He then began pulling her into his chest quite forcefully, leading her to tell him to stop.
It's then that Gemma went to call him by her ex's name before stopping herself, as everyone looked stunned, and it was quickly brought up by others.
As an angry Luca walked off, Gemma checked with the other Islanders: "That was bad wasn’t it?"
As Gemma went to speak to Luca about it, things got heated as Luca made his annoyance clear by rolling his eyes as she went to defend herself.
He said: "You just called me Jacques and then you two are inside together. Why would that not be weird?"
She replied: "I am not..." before stopping, as the camera showed Luca rolling his eyes, clearly annoyed.
She then shouted back: "Don't roll your eyes at me you p***k, it's a genuine mistake. I'm sorry, there's nothing more to it."
Viewers think the moment was staged, as they weren't buying the tense scenes - especially as the pair quickly laughed off their drama and moved on.
Taking to Twitter, one fan commented: "Gemma called him Jacques on purpose this is staged."
Another agreed: "That was so fake and staged but still to even call someone your exs name what even is this show , now luca is made out to be the bad guy when he's done nothing wrong."
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
