Love Island's Gabby Jeffery axed at end of Casa Amor as Gateshead girl delivers parting shot

Wednesday night proved to be the end of the road on Love Island for Gateshead's Gabby Jeffery, as she was one of six new arrivals to be sent packing. But, she didn't go quietly, having final word to Scott van der Sluis, the boy some viewers thought might choose her to recouple with.

It was last Friday night that ITV viewers got their first look at Leam Lane beauty Gabby, as a first look at the new girls heading into the villa as part of this year's Casa twist flashed up on screen. And on Sunday night, millions watched as the creative assistant, who's worked at fashion brand Pretty Little Thing, made her Love Island debut.

Straight away, many viewers declared Gabby 'the most stunning' of the six bombshells, with many also predicting that she could be the one to turn Tyrique's head, as she looked similar to Ella. However, it was Scott that seemed most keen on Gabby, with him totally unaware that Catherine, the girl he'd been coupled up with, was betraying him with new boy Elom, over in Casa Amor.

Ultimately, while Scott, ex of former Love Island star Paige Thorne, told the new girls it had been a pleasure to get to know them, he told Love Island host Maya Jama he'd really missed Catherine, so looked understandably dejected as she walked back into villa hand in hand with Elom.

At the end of a dramatic Love Island recoupling, which saw Tyrique fuming as Ella recoupled and Motel in hot water, as Tink revealed an 'X-rated' secret to Leah, Gabby was left unpicked, alongside Daniella and Tink and three new boys from Casa, sealing their exit from the show.

As the said their goodbyes, Scott was quick to approach Gabby, telling her: "Have a good time, lovely talking to you," to which she replied: "Do what you need to do. It is what it is."

Viewers were quick to pick up on Scott's swift beeline for Gabby, with one tweeting: "Scott regretted not getting to know Gabby more as soon as Catherine walked around the corner with that man...the way he went straight to say bye to her after Maya left," with a second reacting: "poor Scott he could have explored more with Gabby. Catherine's really disappointing me with the way she's handling things"
