Faye Winter , star of Love Island , revealed that her “last couple of weeks” since leaving the villa last year had been her “hardest” since her stint at the villa.
The reality star spoke out on Instagram to disclose her struggles since her Love Island apparence, where she states she’s working to refocus on “taking breaks” and “listening to her body”.
Winter, 26, alongside current boyfriend Teddy Soares and fellow star of the famed ITV2 dating show, became Guide Dogs UK’s ambassadors to foster dogs during their time away from training.
Their latest adorable pooch, Flossie, was ultimately returned to the training centre, prompting Winters to unveil in an emotional Instagram post that she’d been facing a “hard week”.
Detailing her adornment for the sweet pup in a lengthy caption, she wrote: “11 days has gone far too quickly.
“Back to being the incredible life changer that you are Flossie. Crazy how this amazing lady always manages to be there when I need her the most and she has no idea.
“The last couple of weeks have probably been my hardest since leaving the villa which I know many of you have picked up on.
“But having this one has been the reason I’ve managed to smile every single day.
“We discovered new walks each day, she allowed me to turn off, take a break, listen to my body, clear my head and enjoy the small things that’s always made me me, something I didn’t even realise I needed.
“She reminded me who I am and what makes me Faye.”
Faye’s final words on the post urged followers to provide temporary boarding to aid guide dogs in training, as she added: “Remember temporary boarding is also a volunteering role with the @guidedogsuk which allows you to offer holiday and sickness cover for these babies.”
Fans flooded the comments’ section to uplift Faye after the major revelation, as one commenter wrote: “Forever proud of you and everything you do to make this world a better place.”
A second commented: “you're truly amazing! the things you do for people never feel like you're alone, the whole Feddy fandom have got you forever! we love you.” while a third added:
“Nobody else deserves this more than you do, I can tell just how much flossy means to you, she was there for you in the dark days of Covid and she’s been there for you again.
“I’m glad you took that time for yourself as it’s something we all need sometimes.
“You truly care about animals and their rights and that’s one of many reasons why I’ve supported you and will continue to support you because you’ve stayed true to yourself and continue to do what you love and love what you do.”
Faye’s animal rights advocate work has also been recently documented on social media by ‘bearing’ it all to raise awareness for an important cause.
Taking part in animal charity PETA’s latest campaign, the TV personality posed in the nude, using a stuffed teddy bear to shield her modesty, to educate the masses on protecting bears in Canada being killed to make caps for the Queen’s Guard.
