It was revealed earlier today that Love Island contestant Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has a surprising family connection to another popular ITV show, Good Morning Britain.
The actor, 27, was a topic of conversation earlier on the ITV breakfast show earlier, with entertainment editor Richard Arnold, 52, showing a clip of her in a Turkish soap opera.
It showed the islander in the romantic-comedy series Kuzey Yildizi - which translates to North Star in English. Introducing the clip, Richard commented: "This is Ekin-Su in action."
Following the clip, the correspondent revealed that it had been translated by Ekin-Su's cousin, who is understood to work behind the scenes on Good Morning Britain.
Richard explained on the show: "So we had that translated by one of our colleagues who turns out to be Ekin-Su's cousin. It's a family affair here at Good Morning Britain."
The admission about Ekin-Su's connection to the breakfast programme surprised host Susanna Reid, 51, who responded: "What?" Richard Madeley, 66, felt similarly.
And commenting on the clip itself, Susanna said it seemed like the ITV2 dating show, stating: "Watching that ... was that the Turkish version of Love Island?"
And although the clip had teased drama and romance, just like the villa, it was actually from scripted show Kuzey Yildizi, which ran for two seasons in Turkey over recent years.
According to entertainment database website IMDB, the show ran from 2019 until 2021, with Ekin-Su listed as having played the character Isil in 7 episodes of the second series.

The show itself has been nominated for numerous awards over the course of its broadcast, with a total of 64 episodes understood to have aired between its pilot and finale.
Ekin-Su entered the Love Island villa in Majorca last week, with her immediately making an impression on the other islanders, including Davide Sanclimenti, 27.
She's currently coupled-up with Davide, although both of them have expressed doubts about the potential relationship recently. Viewers will have to see what happens.
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 and ITV Hub from 9pm. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. You can catch up through ITV Hub and BritBox.
