Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu has revealed she suffered a terrifying panic attack while in Casa Amor.
The 27-year-old explained she got so overcome with worry about Davide Sanclimenti dumping her when she returned to the main villa that she required medical assistance by the on-site medics in unaired scenes.
On Monday, Christine Lampard, who is covering for Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show, said: “With Casa Amor, it’s like you all forget the cameras are there the second Casa Amor starts.
“We’re screaming at the telly going, ‘we still see what you’re doing!’”
And while viewers were glued to their seats during the show’s most infamous tests, the Turkish soap actress explained how difficult things got for her personally amid the challenge.
“I know because they’re so hidden these cameras, you don’t know where they are,” she shared. “You can’t pretend or act on there. If you were to act it’d happen for two days then your mask would fall off then you’re yourself.’
“In Casa Amor there was a moment obviously where, I don’t know if I [can] say this, when medics came where I was having a mini panic attack because I was thinking, ‘Oh no, what’s Davide doing in Casa Amor? Is he with someone else?’
“And the medics were like, ‘Ekin it’s fine, just relax, what’s meant to be is going to be’. It all worked.”
And it did indeed all work out for the pair who not only remained faithful to each other after Casa Amor but also went on to become an official couple and win this year’s series by a landslide vote.
Since winning the show, the ITV2 star has confirmed she and her Italian businessman beau are moving in together at the end of September, with him moving to her hometown of Essex.
Not only that but the pair also announced that they have landed their very own travel show on ITV2, which will see them spend time in their native countries of Turkey and Italy, cooking local dishes, meeting their families and no doubt creating hilarity along the way.
