Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Gemma Owen are both set for £1million paydays as the real winners of this year’s Love Island.
Regardless of whether they succeed in tomorrow night’s final, they will reap huge rewards from fashion endorsements, as well as club appearances.
The glamorous pair have been earmarked as the biggest potential earners from the 2022 series, with brands queuing up to sign them.
An insider said: “Ekin-Su and Gemma have been the stand-out stars in terms of marketability. Ekin-Su is not only beautiful, but she also has a captivating personality.
“Gemma has such a wise head on her shoulders. With the Owen name, she already has a big profile which brands want to tap into. And her own swimwear brand, OG Beachwear, will be sure to get a big boost.”
The ITV2 show has already made many of its past stars millionaires, from Molly-Mae Hague, 23, who bagged a £500,000 deal with PrettyLittleThing, to Dani Dyer, 25, who has been behind numerous collections with In The Style.
Olivia, 28, and Alex Bowen, 31, who welcomed son Abel in June, have made an estimated £4million through sponsorships, making them the richest couple ever from the show.
Last year’s winner Millie Court, 24, is also on track to hit the £1million mark after securing deals with ASOS, Puma and Eyelure.
Mark Borkowski, PR and branding specialist, said: “It’s not been a vintage year for Love Island with all the controversy surrounding the show, but it still has the ability to generate a life-changing amount of money for the finalists.
“With the cost-of-living crisis, it will just mean they have to work even harder to achieve the figures of previous contestants – but there is still lots of money to be made.”
Ekin-Su is favourite to win this year’s series with partner Davide Saclimenti.
The fiery couple, both 27, have been on a rollercoaster of emotions.
But things have been a bit smoother for Gemma, 19, and Luca Bish, 23, who coupled up early in the series.
