Love Island's Davide Snaclimenti revealed he "wasn't surprised" to hear Gemma Owen and Luca Bish broke up.
The runners-up went public about their breakup after Gemma posted a statement on Instagram, thanking their fans for their support. Luca eventually made a post of his own, adding he wished the topic stayed private for longer but wished Gemma the best moving forward.
Their relationship was questioned even on the show as fans speculated she had very little serious interest in Luca. After filming finished, it was a matter of time before the breakup announcement came, according to their co-star and 2022 winner, Davide.

The 27-year-old and his girlfriend, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu won the show and are loved by each other. Speaking on the Gemma and Luca breakup with Metro, he said: "Actually, I was not very surprised. If this is what they think is right for them, then it’s for the best. They had an amazing experience and they need to remember this experience."
Davide also revealed he has been helping Luca with the fallout, giving him a shoulder to cry on as he struggles to cope.
Sharing the information with Mail Online, he added: "'He was not really okay but he is now and he is getting better and I feel like I told him, 'You had an amazing experience together and had a lovely time but if it's not something that's going to work then Gemma will find someone who is meant for her and you will find someone meant for you so there is no reason to be sad.'
"I always say, 'If it's meant to be for me then it will be for me.' I realise this with Ekin-Su and things outside the villa with her are getting better and better each day."
