The 2022 series of Love Island may have already found it’s most confident womaniser – if the social media posts of Dami Hope are anything to go by.
The 26-year-old Irishman was the first male contestant to be unmasked for the upcoming eighth season of the hit ITV2 reality romance show – which kicks off next week.
Dami, who is a senior microbiologist, has a very neatly curated Instagram page showing him posing in designer clothes, attending art gallery viewings, and postcards from his international travels.
His updates suggest he considers himself something of a ladies man, while his updates suggest he may have been unlucky in love over the years as he does not pose with any ladies in his snaps.
In one post, dated in April 2021, Dami declares himself a “Verified playboy” while posing outside a shop.
One follower reacted to the post to declare Dami is the: “Irish Hugh Hefner” – a comparison that the budding reality star didn’t miss as he replied: “women all around meeee.”
Back in July 2020, however, Dami hinted that he was struggling to find a girlfriend, as he shared a post with a caption reading: “If you see love tell her I’m ready to meet her.”
Another post from December last year shows that Dami has a softer side and that he would love to wine and dine the right woman.
Dressed in a tuxedo, the charmer poses for snaps inside a hotel and added a caption reading: “Bing bong, let me take you out to dinner.”
But his social media posts from February this year also hint that he might be one to watch out for in the villa as he has insinuated he would have no problem stealing a lover from a love rival.
In one post, Dami poses inside a shopping trolly, and captioned the moment: “POV your girl went shopping and left with me.”
Discussing what fans can expect of him while in the villa, Dami said in a pre-Love Island entry interview: “ I don’t know if I will cause trouble, I’ll try not to cause trouble but sometimes you don’t intentionally cause trouble - but it happens!”
Dami also opened up about his experiences and expectations of love.
He said: “When I’m actually in a relationship, I think it’s a star sign thing, I’m an Aries but I’m very passionate - I always used to put that person first.
“If they had something they wanted to do or something they were passionate about, I’d make sure that even if it’s something I’m not talented at I’d get talented at it just so it helps them.
“I’m really good at being in a team and actually looking after each other.”
The new series of Love Island is due to begin airing on ITV2 from Monday 6 June at 9pm.
