Love Island couple Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran have split, a year after they came second on the ITV2 show.
Chloe, 27, jetted off to Morocco last week to escape her break-up with co-star Millie Court.
The beauty and hunk Toby, 23, are said to be still living together at their Essex home but are finalising arrangements to go their separate ways.
Despite giving the relationship everything, there was no turning things around.
Chloe last month revealed her footballer boyfriend had already proposed to her – and she said no. In a recent Q&A, Chloe said: "He actually asked me and I said no."
However, Toby has now denied this in a comment on Instagram as he wrote: "I didn’t propose lol".
"Chloe and Toby put everything into their relationship – but it just hasn't worked out between them," a source said.
"There's been no wrongdoing, they have simply grown apart, and over time realised it's better for them both to split.
"Naturally, Chloe has found the breakup difficult but being able to spend time abroad with Millie has given her the space she needed to start moving on," the inside added to MailOnline.
The lovebirds enjoyed a fun-filled trip to Disneyland Paris in August.
Earlier this year, they shut down split rumours after speculation intensified that it was all over.
Chloe and Toby moved in together only three months after their time on the reality show.
Last night, Chloe tweeted: "You know I f***ed off for a week to Morocco with Millie… yo all I had to say was I want to go and she did everything. Millie Court deserves the f***ing world."
She went on: "Took a break and f***ed off to Morocco and want to award Millie Court the award for being the best f***ing friend I've ever had."
The couple, who recently celebrated their first anniversary, and hosted a Q&A on YouTube - and the subject of marriage was raised.
Responding to a fan, Chloe said: "He actually asked me and I said no."
Toby explained: "You know why she said that, because I told the newspapers that if someone's gonna get married and someone's gonna propose then Chloe's getting down on one knee."
The pair met on Love Island last year and came runners-up to Millie and Liam Reardon, who split in July.
