Love Island star Casey O'Gorman is planning to meet up with ex Claudia Fogarty to clear the air following the latest dumping.
The pair were coupled up together on the ITV2 dating show and managed to pull through the chaos of Casa Amor, before bombshell Rosie Seabrook turned his head. Things soon turned sour between the pair after Casey ended things with Claudia to pursue Rosie, but the reality star wants to make things right between them.
After his exit, Casey agreed the situation was "horrible" but insists he "never misled Claudia". The popular dating show is gearing up to close its first season in South Africa since 2020 on Monday night, writes the Mirror.
Speaking about the situation, Casey insisted: "Look, it’s horrible. I know more than anyone what it’s like to be in a triangle situation from when I first arrived and was with Lana. I was really happy with Claudia.
"I felt it was going so well. But I was never closed off, I never misled Claudia. So when Rosie came in, there was that spark that I maybe didn’t have with Claudia. I just wanted to explore whether the personality matched up to my initial attraction."
He added: "I had to give it two or three days to make that decision. So for me, I had to be selfish. I went with who I could see a future with and for me that was Rosie. I hated to see Claudia upset as I really did care for the girl."
The recruitment consultant said he would love to clear the air with his former flame now they have both been booted from the South African Villa. He said: "I hate the thought of there being bad blood, it’s not what I’m about. The fact she left and I wasn’t able to clear the air and really say sorry for making her have a go at me like that, it’s not nice.
"She let everything out to me, which is fair enough as I made her feel s***. I know it’s a difficult situation now I’m with Rosie, but I think she’s such an amazing girl. She’s so classy, she’s such a good laugh. I really do think we’ll get along on the outside."
In her exit interview, Rosie also echoed Casey's feelings: "Once Casey made his decision I felt relieved and it was nice that my feelings were reciprocated. But I also felt guilt for Claudia. I got on with her really well and on the outside, I definitely am a girls’ girl."
Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITX tonight at 9pm.
