Love Island star Adam Collard was attacked in a bar in Newcastle while on a night out with his Welsh girlfriend and Love Island co-star Paige Thorne. Footage obtained by The Sun newspaper shows a mob in the nightclub ripping Geordie reality star Adam's shirt off.
Adam and Paige were enjoying a drink with friends in the Market Shaker bar when a group of men approached them and started grabbing at Adam and his shirt. Adam then stepped in, trying to defend himself, and one of his friends intervened to try and calm the situation.
An onlooker told The Sun: "Everyone was trying to crowd him and I think they were trying to crowd Paige and Adam wasn’t happy at all which was understandable.

"Then people started to rip his top off and it all kicked off. It’s no surprise he wanted to defend himself and was obviously looking out for Paige as well."
Adam's spokesperson said: "Adam was trying to enjoy a quiet night in his hometown with friends when a large group of men began aggressively harassing them. Despite several attempts to diffuse the situation, the men continued to become more aggressive and started physically attacking Adam.
"Understandably, Adam and his friends were extremely shaken up by the situation and felt it was best to leave and we’re safely escorted by the security team outside. No further action has been taken."
The visit to Newcastle was Adam's chance to show Paige his hometown after the pair were spotted in Paige's patch as the pair were spotted in and around Swansea on Tuesday, August 9. Market Shaker is a trendy bar in Newcastle's Cloth Market area which serves independent beers, cocktails and food.
Adam and Paige finished fifth on the reality show after being voted out by their fellow islanders just before the final. The pair fell for each other after Jacques, who Paige was coupled up with, dramatically left the show.
