Love Island’s Adam Collard attacked during night out with Paige Thorne

Love Island star Adam Collard was attacked while enjoying a night out with his partner Paige Thorne, according to reports.

The couple, who emerged from the Love Island villa earlier this month, had stepped out in Newcastle when they were approached by a group of partygoers.

In footage obtained by The Sun of the altercation, 26-year-old Collard can be seen trying to defend himself as someone from the crowd tries to rip his shirt.

The incident was swiftly shut down when bouncers rushed in to stop anything from escalating further.

A source speaking to the publication explained: “It happened shortly after midnight. Adam and Paige were just on a night, it wasn’t an official appearance or anything.

“Everyone was trying to crowd him and I think they were trying to crowd Paige and Adam wasn’t happy at all which was understandable. Then people started to rip his top off and it all kicked off,” the onlooker added.

Collard’s agent has also revealed that the reality star was “shaken up” but no further action is being taken against the group that approached him.

Adam and Paige met on the eighth season of ITV’s Love Island however they were dumped from the island one day before the finale.

Since then, the pair have been adjusting to life in the limelight and attended several events together following the show.

Last week, Thorne also revealed that she planned to return to her role as a paramedic despite her newfound fame. Speaking to Ranvir Singh on an episode of Lorraine, the reality star said that she had a meeting lined up with her former employer about potential roles.

She added: “I genuinely just love my job so why wouldn’t I want to go back to it? I really enjoyed it but I’ll have other things alongside it.”
