Love Island stars Paige Thorne and Adam Collard are said to be on a break after she was left "humiliated" when footage emerged online of him with a blonde woman, it has been reported.
The Welsh paramedic is said to be taking some time away from her long-distance boyfriend, amid footage going viral of her boyfriend with his arms around another woman in a McDonalds restaurant over the weekend, writes The Mirror.
As the footage first emerged, Adam's reps told the media: "Adam headed to McDonald’s after a night out with friends. His friends were alongside him when a group of girls asked for photos and Adam being his friendly self was open to posing and chatting to the girls, alongside other fans who wanted to chat in the same video.
"Adam understands how this video looks but wants to state that he left the restaurant with his friends and a box of 60 nuggets (with nothing or no one else) with the intention of getting home safely." They added: "Adam and Paige are currently dating and Adam only has eyes for her."
However, it seems things have changed over recent days - with a source now claiming Paige is 'really upset' with everything that's happened and is seemingly reconsidering her future with Adam. Insiders close to the couple have suggested that the 24 year old believes Adam, 26, has done nothing wrong but needs space.
An insider told The Sun: "Paige is really upset by everything that has gone on and feels like she is being humiliated. "She believes Adam didn’t do anything and knows women throw themselves at him."
They went on to add that despite believing Adam has done nothing wrong, it doesn't mean that Paige doesn't thing it difficult when their romance is subjected to speculation and rumours. The reality TV star is said to have told Adam she need a break from him and is going to spend the next few weeks enjoying some downtime with her family friends - after a whirlwind couple of months since leaving the Love Island villa.
Paige and Adam first struck up a romance earlier this year during their time on Love Island, after the Geordie’s hunk comeback to the Spanish villa for the second time caused a stir and led to some dramatic scenes on the ITV2 show. Just hours after the personal trainer from Newcastle returned to the series that made him a household name in 2018, it all kicked off and eventually, Paige’s then-partner Jacques O’Neill dramatically quit the show - citing at the time he needed to protect his mental health.
Paige moved on with Adam following the rugby star's departure, and the couple went on to finish the ITV2 series in fifth place and pledged to continue their relationship on the outside world. Despite living at in different countries - with Paige in Wales and Adam in Newcastle, England - the pair had been making things work long-distance and recently enjoyed a romantic holiday to Italy together, as their relationship appeared to be going from strength to strength.
Over the weekend, as the footage of Adam with the unidentified blonde emerged, Paige appeared to be focusing on her fitness journey, as she shared a selfie of herself before a workout - showing off her incredible abs in the process. She is yet to address the speculation surrounding her relationship publicly. The Mirror has previously contacted both Adam and Paige for comment.
