Love Island recoupling twist sees shock confession ahead of 'mass dumping'

Love Island has confirmed the next dramatic recoupling will air on Tuesday night, the first since the tense events of Casa Amor.

The Islanders will be told to gather around the fire pit out of nowhere, and are soon informed that it's time to choose their pairings. But their could be a major shock in store for one of the couples.

A text message that is sent to the group reads: "Islanders, it’s time to recouple. The boys will now pick which girls they want to recouple with."

It's then that each boy is tasked with picking the girl they want to be with. One boy soon shocks a girl with a heartwarming revelation about the future - but will they be surprised that they have been picked?

Also around the fire pit, another boy announces that he would like to be exclusive with the girl he chooses to couple up with. It remains to be seen which girl will be left and picked last.

It follows the claims that fans are set to be shocked with new drama as producers have reportedly planned a "mass dumping" with several Islanders being sent packing.

The move will apparently see "several big names" exiting the villa, with the dramatic new twist set to shock both Islanders and viewers.

A source explained the 'mass dumping' twist to The Sun as they said: "Yet again producers have kept the Islanders on their toes and the axe is being swung in a big way.

"It's not just one or two people packing their bags anymore. Several big names are getting the chop this week - and just when they least expect it."

Whilst the source doesn't reveal which Islanders could be set to go home, it could well include some of the originals from when the series began last month.

The last dumping of the series aired after the dramatic Casa Amor recoupling - and it saw couples torn apart, and six Islanders axed from the villa.

Bombshells Danielle, Tink, and Gabby were booted out of the villa, while Molly, Amber and Abi got to stay after coupling up with the boys. Former Islander Molly returned and reclaimed Zach, leaving Kady single when she returned from Casa.

As for the male bombshells, Benjamin, Kodie and Zachary were all sent home. Elom, Ouzy and Lochan got a place in the main villa after pairing up with three of the original girls.

Ouzy went in with Ella who ditched her partner Tyrique for the newcomer, causing huge drama and tears. Elom also caused chaos when he and Catherine decided to couple up, leaving Scott single back in the main villa.

Scott was not happy, and neither was Tyrique, and the girls were left facing the consequences of ditching their partners. While Catherine and Scott fired back at each other, Ella ended up in tears as she realised how much she had hurt Ty - but not all viewers sympathised with him, and plenty of fans were pleased to see Ella recouple following recent goings on.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
