The 2022 series of Love Island is finally here. The new season kicks off on Monday, June 6 at 9pm on ITV2 with 11 new contestants.
Among those in this year's line-up are Swansea paramedic Paige Thorne, 24, student Liam Llewellyn, 22, from Newport, and international dressage rider Gemma Owen, who is the daughter of football legend Michael Owen. You can see the full list of contestants taking part in Love Island 2022 here.
As well as a brand new batch of islanders, Love Island 2022 is also being filmed in a brand new location. ITV bosses confirmed earlier this year that a new villa would be used for the new series.

While the show will still be located in Mallorca, the contestants will get a brand new luxury villa for the summer. Managing director of ITV's media and entertainment, Kevin Lygo, told PA Media earlier this year: "We didn't own [the last property]. We rented it and we are choosing a new house for this summer so that is all secrecy. It is going to be marvellous.
Upon entering the new villa, Islanders will be greeted by a giant heart that sits outside the front of the building. Another change viewers will notice this year is the variety of seating areas.
Speaking about the decision to include more secluded outside areas, Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer said: “It’s the first time, I think, that we’ve designed it more editorially. We know how many chat areas we need, we know you want those places you can sneak off to.”
Don't worry though, the villa will still have the iconic Love Island fire-pit, where many of the recouplings take place. You can read more on the changes, here.
Love Island starts at 9pm Monday June 6 on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
