Fans have criticised Love Island host Laura Whitmore after she made comments regarding fan favourite Ekin-Su.
Viewers of the show were left less than impressed after Laura alluded that Ekin-Su's behaviour during Casa Amor would be exposed despite her having denied anything happened with new boy George.
Footage of the two in bed was aired during movie night which showed Ekin-Su saying she was getting too hot before telling George they were "just friends", as he called her a "nightmare".
The following morning Ekin-Su pulled George for a chat, asking him to keep what had happened to himself and not tell the boys.
However, despite their conversation, both have denied that anything went on between them underneath the covers, with George clarifying that the whole thing was blown out of proportion when he left the villa.
After the video was shown, other male islanders and Laura repeatedly questioned whether Ekin-Su was telling the truth.
Laura tweeted: "Not everything makes the show as a lot to fit into an hour, but everything always comes out… ;)."
On a radio show, Laura brought the subject up again, saying: "I've also seen you [Ekin-Su] having a little fiddle as well. I love it, the hypocrisy of it all!"
Meanwhile, Ekin-Su's partner Davide was shown kissing two separate women in his video, and the subject was barely talked about.
Now a friend of Ekin-Su who is controlling her social media accounts has denied that anything went down and called the attention that has been drawn to it "slut shaming".
The handler has publicly said that she's spoken to George, who said it "was blown out of proportion" and admitted nothing happened between the two.
Fans have agreed with Ekin Su's social media handler's opinion, calling Laura's comments on the interaction "gross".
One user wrote on Reddit: "The fact that Laura and the official panelists on aftersun are treating it like lolz is…honestly gross? In this day? It is 2022 what is HAPPENING".
Another said: "Love Island producers and Laura Whitmore are facilitating the sexual harassment and bullying of Ekin-Su to be direct. I have never seen anything like this in my life it crosses a lot of ethical lines and completely disregards their duty of care. They are doing everything at the expense of Ekin-Su's well-being it is sad and concerning. I hope Ekin-Su flourishes in spite of all the sexism and misogyny thrown her way."
However, it's not just Laura's treatment of Ekin-Su that social media users are criticising.
Islander Luca, who is coupled up with Gemma Owen, has also received backlash for being territorial about their relationship.
During Sunday night's show, Luca blew up at Gemma because Billy flirted with her, even though she didn't reciprocate it.
Laura was once again slammed for laughing off Luca's actions on After Sun as she said: "it's just because he's in love, though".
