Love Island fans were not happy as Dami and Indiyah landed in the bottom three of the public vote - while Luca and Gemma were safe.
It came amid an incredibly dramatic episode for the couple, who have been together since the beginning of the series.
The pair became embroiled in a furious row, which saw Luca tear off his mic and storm out of the villa as he lost his temper.
Their argument has erupted after the Mile High challenge, which saw each of the girls prep the boys for departure and offer refreshments.
However, Luca was left fuming after Gemma licked Adam in the challenge - leading the 19 year old to confront him about his behaviour.
"You can sit here and say that you're not in a mood... you're in a mood," Gemma fumed.
"No I'm not in a mood," he hit back.
"Luca, don't play thick," she told him.
He retorted: "Gem, I'm not in a mood."
She continued: "You were pushing me off, had a face like a slapped a***. Are you 12?!"
"It's obviously not nice to see but it's a challenge, so I can't exactly stay annoyed at you for it," he replied.
"So you can't exactly 'stay' annoyed at me for it," she picked up. "So you were annoyed at it."
A sulky Luca told her she was "doing [his] head in" and stormed off.
So fans were left stunned that the couple avoided landed in the bottom two, with one tweeting: "Dami&indiya might be dumped but Gemma and luca are still safe???? Smh everyone is wasting votes at this point #LoveISland."
While another wrote: "Nah this is a fix... it's the producers keeping Gemma & Luca in not the public #LoveIsland."
A third wrote: "Ur telling me Indiyah and Dami in the bottom 3 but not Gemma and Luca ?! #LoveIsland."
