As the eighth season of Love Island is nearing the end, new data reveals how being on the show has affected the contestant's potential earnings. The global search marketing agency, Honcho, has analysed the contestants potential earnings through sponsored Instagram posts in the final week.
Honcho has looked at the islanders' follower counts as of the final week and calculated how many hours contestants would have to work in their day jobs to earn the same amount.
The agency found that Fishmonger Luca Bish earns an average salary of £12 per hour, and with his current Instagram following of 755,000 he has an average earning potential of £6,570.50 per post. This would have taken him 547.5 hours to earn as a fishmonger.
