Love Island first look teases drama in final days with possible mass dumping tonight

Love Island will air some dramatic scenes tonight - and a mass dumping is on the cards.

Ahead of the ITV2 show's final, which will air on Monday August 1, there are only a handful of couples left on the programme - and with just a few days left to go, there could be a big dumping tonight as bosses whittle down the finalists.

Left in the villa are Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack, Paige Thorne and Adam Collard and Danica Taylor and Jamie Allen.

In tonight's show, Paige receives a text requesting all of the Islanders should gather at the fire pit as they learn the public have been voting for their favourite couple - and following that vote, some Islanders are now at risk of being booted from the villa.

As they all wait to hear their fate, who will be facing an early exit from the show and who will be one step closer to the final and a chance of winning a huge £50,000 to share - or steal - from their partner.

Whilst there's still no doubt more drama ahead on the show, there is one fan favourite moment that won't be returning this series - the iconic Twitter game, which had always been a staple in past series.

Fans were convinced it was coming back after spotting a change to the show's official social media channels, with a disclaimer which read: "Tweets and comments may be used on social incl. your name and/or twitter handle."

However, bosses are reportedly not keen on having it this year, and have shelved plans for its return, for now.

"As we’ve already seen, not every game is repeated year on year. Just because a challenge was part of the format for a couple of series doesn’t mean it’s here to stay," a source told The Sun.

"Producers always try and keep things fresh or respond to feedback, for example with removing food challenges."

The Online Buzz game was last seen in 2019 and had some shock moments, including one fan tweet which claimed Molly-Mae Hague was only dating Tommy Fury on the show because she was after the £50,000 prize money.

*Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
