A first look at the latest episode of Love Island on the programme's official Twitter account has revealed rugby star Jacques O'Neill in tears as he pulls Paige Thorne, with whom he is coupled up and has been in an on-off romance with since the girls' return from Casa Amor, for a chat on the terrace ahead of his heartbreaking exit - read more on that here.
In the clip to be shown on Tuesday, July 12, he is seen to be shielding tears from his eyes with sunglasses before sighing and saying to Paige: "You mean so much to me, you know that? I just wish I could finish my journey off with you in here, but..."
The 24-year-old Welsh paramedic from Swansea is then shown wiping her own tears away. It comes just after Jacques lay his feelings bare with Paige in Monday night's episode.

After surviving the public dumping, he sat her down and said: "I’ve got something to say to you. I was in bed last night and I thought I wanna tell you, because sometimes I get flustered when we’re speaking so I just thought if I put it down for you, you might be able to listen to me."
In the message, he declared: "I am prepared to wait as long as it takes for you to forgive me because I know I do not want anyone else but you."
The first look teaser, which was posted just moments after news broke that the 23-year-old from Cumbria would be leaving the villa in the upcoming episode, also references Jacque's reaction towards new boy Adam Collard. It begins with some of the group gathering around the firepit discussing what newcomer Adam - who previously appeared on the show in series 4 - had been been saying with Tasha Ghouri.
Speaking about their chat, Tasha said: "He had a conversation with me and obviously I was talking about Andrew, and he was like: 'Well I think actions speak louder than words'."
To which Jacques, who recently came under fire from Paige when it was revealed he had kissed blonde bombshell Cheyanne Kerr during her time in the villa, said: "Oi, I hope he said stuff like that about me, because we'll have a bit of biff then."
Gemma Owen - daughter of famous footballer Michael and who is currently coupled up with Luca Bish - responded with: "Oh, he was proper slagging you off." The girls recollected the Geordie trainer calling rugby boy Jacques "immature, I think it was. Something like that".
The clip then shows Jacques seemingly calling Paige over for a talk about 26-year-old Adam, in which Paige urges Jacques not to "rise to it and be, like bitey with it", adding: "What does it actually change?"
Jacques proceeds to say: "You know what I get like, if a boy's going to chat sh** behind my back, I don't f****** have it."
A spokesperson for Love Island has spoken about Jacques' decision to leave the villa, saying: "He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."
