Love Island fans warn Gemma Owen and Paige Thorne about 'red flags' in their relationships

Love Islands fans were quick to take to social media to warn Gemma Owen and Paige Thorne about 'red flags' in their relationships after an explosive episode. Viewers of the hit ITV2 show on Monday night (June 27) saw the villa erupt into chaos with many not impressed by certain behaviour.

Michael Owen's daughter Gemma confronted fellow islander Ekin-Su over gossip that quickly spread around the villa. A row started when Dami Hope attempted to read Gemma's mind.

Dami guessed that her head could possibly be turned from her current partner fishmonger Luca Bish. He said that Gemma was 'happy with Luca right now', but warned that there was a small chance her head could be turned by someone new, reports Manchester Evening News.

Dami said that Gemma would be interested if someone came in who was '100 per cent her and had the chat of Luca.' Although Gemma didn't specify to what she agreed with, the 19-year-old and youngest Islander of the series said: "Yeah, that was quite impressive. I don't think you're that far wrong."

But after Dami insisted the mind-reading chat between him, Gemma, Ekin-Su and Indiyah should stay between them, Ekin-Su decided to tell Gemma's ex Jacques and Paige.

Things got worse when Jacques then told Luca that Gemma had said her head 'could be turned', and Paige also told Gemma what Ekin-Su had said. But when Michael Owen's daughter heard what was being spread around the villa, she angrily confronted Ekin-Su and told her: "You've made drama over nothing which has actually got f*** all to do with you."

This left a sour taste in Luca's mouth as he was then under the impression that Gemma may not like him as much as he likes her. Pulling her for a chat, Luca told Gemma: "I want a future with you. I'm obsessed with you, I'm not going to lie."

Later on in the episode, Jacques appeared to kick up a fuss after Paige's attention was elsewhere. The rugby league player, 23, and the paramedic, 24, have been getting closer over the past few weeks but their relationship was tested after Jay decided to couple up with Paige.

On Sunday night Jacques admitted to Paige that he'd 'never felt like this in his life' and that he was scared of showing that he cared. But the following day he became irritated after Paige, who said she was open to getting to know Jay, was supposed to go in the pool with him but instead spoke to Jay.

Annoyed at the situation Jacques vented frustrations but later apologised to Paige for his outburst. During the evening Paige then told Jay that she was no longer wanted to get to know him and was sticking with Jacques. But fans of the ITV2 show have since issued warnings to both Gemma and Paige after spotting 'red flags' with both their men.

Taking to Twitter after the latest episode, one viewer wrote: "Luca's obsession with Gemma is major red flags," whilst another added: "Luca actually has a million red flags. His mood, the way he treats women he isn’t interested in, the way he reacts to situations and a million other things."

Speaking of Jacques, one Twitter user said "Jacques is a walking red flag… Paige deserves so much better," as another wrote: "I'm hoping Jacques behaviour was just coz he was feeling vulnerable otherwise it's a huge red flag - the kind of red flag you see with guys who get all jealous if their partner even talks to another guy."

Many Love Island fans then told Gemma and Paige that they should run. "Nah Jacques is actually scary, jealousy over one little thing like that? big red flag Paige needs to open her eyes and run," one said. "Gemma, run. This is red flag central. If this chat hasn’t given you the ick, I don’t know what will," said another.
