Love Island fans were left stunned on Sunday evening’s episode as Paige Thorne sat down with her parents during the annual Meet The Parents instalment.
Paige spoke with her mum and dad about her time in the Love Island villa, which saw her dad admit he’s not been watching her on the ITV2 show and her mum say she’s “not buying” her relationship with Adam Collard.
But fans were quick to notice what Paige said when she first sat down with them, when she asked her parents if they had seen “her and Dami together”, before she mentioned Adam.
The comment left fans stunned after weeks of swirling theories there could be more to Paige and Dami Hope ’s friendship.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Have you seen me and Dami together ????? Paige hunny buns why is the the first question you’ve asked.”
A second tweeted: “Why did Paige mention Dami to her parents before Adam???” as a third commented: “Nah I still can’t get over how Paige mentioned Dami before Adam.”
“Paige’s mum not feeling Adam, the conversation between the two families being so dry, and Paige mentioning Dami. This is all so awkward…” another wrote.
A fellow fan posted: “One of the first things Paige asked her parents was about Dami before she asked about Adam. She’s so obsessed man.”
Another tweeted: “The obsession Paige has with Dami has to be studied and I’m being so serious!”
A fellow fan wrote: “At least now y’all can see Paige is the one overly obsessed with Dami and not the other way around.”
This came as a Love Island couple are set to be brutally dumped just one day before the 2022 final.
Two Islanders will cruelly miss out on being part of the big day after each of the couples were tasked with voting for the two least compatible pairs.
Ekin-Su and Davide are joined by Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, Indiyah Pollack and Dami Hope, and Paige Thorne and Adam Collard as the last couples standing, after nearly eight weeks of the ITV dating show.
As they deliberated on who to choose, Ekin-Su told Davide: “Let’s be real, this is not friend island OK.”
But the couple received four votes for least compatible couple, ahead of a further viewer vote, meaning they are at risk from being dumped from the island ahead of the final.
Gemma and Luca received three votes, Paige and Adam received two and Tasha and Andrew received one, meaning they are also at risk of losing out.
Indiyah and Dami were the only couple to not receive votes, meaning they are safe and will participate in the final.
However, who leaves on Sunday night is out of the Islanders' hands as the public have been voting to save their favourites. The pair with the fewest votes will be dumped ahead of the grand final.
The final of Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITV Hub at 9pm on Monday August 1.
