Love Island fans believe they have spotted signs there could be trouble in paradise for Jacques O’Neill and Paige Thorne after comments he made to the brunette bombshell.
ITV2 viewers have hit out at Jacques for comments he made to Paige, insisting they have spotted red flags between the couple, who have moved from strength to strength lately.
Jacques and Paige shared their first kiss this week and then spent a night in the Hideaway together on Tuesday’s episode.
Yet viewers are fearful that heartbreak could be on the way for Paige after picking up on certain comments made by rugby player Jacques.
Posting on Reddit, one wrote: "When Jacques was talking to the boys after deciding they were going to kiss, he said something along the lines of 'I can already tell she's smitten with me already'. I feel like that's a red flag for me."
Another said: "A huge heartbreak is coming.
"[Jacques] also mentioned once he needed to see how good she looks when dressed up, basically implying she was plain and could do with makeup."
Love Island fans were previously left fuming over the weekend after villa newcomer Jacques seemed to make a savage dig about Paige's appearance.
After spending some quality time by the pool together, the 23-year old rugby professional retreated to the Beach Hut and pondered to the cameras what Paige, 24, might look like when she is 'dressed up' at night.
"With Paige she's a lovely girl, isn't she? So I'm just getting to know her," said Jacques.
"Tonight might be a bit different all dressed up and that, so we'll see what she's looking like then. But like I say, she's a lovely girl."
Ahead of airing Paige and Jacques’s trip to the villa's private room, Love Island warned viewers via Instagram that it is set to be a night of "mixed emotions" – thanks to the double dumping which saw Ikenna and Amber pack their bags.
"It's mixed emotions tonight as two islanders are dumped and two head to the Hideaway," the official Love Island account captioned the steamy teaser prior to the show airing, with fans of the show rushing to gush over Jacques and Paige.
Following a game of truth or dare, newbie Danica Taylor received a text which read: "Islanders, the Hideaway is open tonight! Please choose a lucky couple to spend the night alone. #SexySleepover #MidnightSnack."
"I'm going Jacques and Paige," fishmonger Lucas Bish yelled from beside the fire pit, with Gemma Owen and the other islanders agreeing.
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Dami Hope said: "They're very affectionate in public so let's see what they do behind the scenes, you know what I'm saying?"
