Love Island fans slam 'uncomfortable to watch' scenes as Islanders 'bully' one star

Love Island fans were left uncomfortable on Monday evening as the Islanders played the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge in the South African villa.

The ITV2 reality show has just two weeks before the grand live Love Island final, but a number of the couples are still up in the air as the latest recoupling continues to send shockwaves.

Claudia Fogarty – daughter of I’m A Celebrity winner Carl Fogarty – struggled to cope as her man Casey grew close to Rosie and even slept outside, unable to watch the new couple potentially get cosy under the covers.

The blonde beauty was left in tears when bombshell Rosie chose to couple up with Casey on Friday's dramatic episode.

Claudia's woes were not made any easier in scenes on Monday night, as the Islanders played the familiar challenge Snog, Marry, Pie, which sees each contestant choose one co-star to kiss, one to get down on one knee with a ring in front of and one to smash with a custard cream pie.

As the challenge played out all eyes were on Casey as he made his choices and decided to snog Rosie, admitting he was ‘attracted’ to her.

However, as the girls then refused to applaud the kiss as they had all the others, Rosie said: “Girls, you could’ve at least clapped.”

Claudia then said: “If he marries me I’m going to throw it in his face,” before Casey did indeed pop the question and admit she was too good for him.

The scenes left the Love Island viewers at home uncomfortable as it seemed the girls were icing out newcomer Rosie and blaming her for Casey’s frostier feelings to Claudia.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “The girls are so hostile towards Rosie when she hasn’t done anything to anyone, Casey doesn’t like Claudia and that’s not Rosie’s fault.”

A second echoed: “This episode is just bad vibes from everyone towards Rosie and it’s uncomfortable to watch. I feel so sorry for her.”

“The girls are bullying Rosie. It’s not Rosie’s fault Casey likes her more than Claudia,” a third chimed.

Another congratulated the bombshell on saying something to the girls, tweeting: “Yes speak up! Rosie you got this. Don’t allow these girls to bully you.”

It comes after a domestic abuse charity has voiced their concerns over the 'gaslighting and manipulation' from the female Love Island contestants during the 2023 series of the show, warning of 'toxic femininity'.

In recent weeks the ITV show has aired scenes of the female contestants reducing their male counterparts to tears, most notably during the Movie Night chaos in the villa.

Tom Clare and Shaq Muhammad left the Love Island main villa for a breather as things proved too much after ITV2 showed a series of clips to the Islanders on a projector in the garden.

Mankind Initiative called on Love Island show bosses to ensure they offer the same duty of care they would to female contestants.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
