Love Island 2023 viewers questioned some 'missing' scenes on Friday night, as Olivia Hawkins and Kai Fagan shared a kiss.
The pair had a talk on the terrace and decided they should give things a go, after suddenly deciding that they liked each other.
Despite being in the villa from the very start of the series over two weeks ago, it's only now that the pair have decided there could be something there.
Olivia had wanted to pair up with Kai on day one but he was chosen by Tanyel Revan, and following that Olivia was torn between Haris Namani and Tom Clare.
Olivia soon fell out with Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown as they competed for Tom's affections - and when he and Zara cooled things, she claimed there was unfinished business between them.
However, the next day she found out he was also getting cosy with newcomer Ellie Spence and they'd even kissed.
Now, Olivia and Kai have claimed to like each other and they suggested that they'd been trying to get some time together for days.
After that conversation and a chat on the terrace, the latest episode saw the pair getting close before sealing things with a kiss.
But viewers are completely confused how almost three weeks in, the two original Islanders have suddenly decided they want to get to know each other.
Claiming the romance has "come out of nowhere", viewers took to Twitter to ask if they had missed something.
One viewer wrote: "Ermm did that whole olivia and kai thing come out the blue or what? This years #loveisland is confusing me!"
Another agreed: "After WEEKS of hearing about how serious their 'unfinished business' was, Olivia and Kai are like… it’s been you all along?? The math is not mathing."
A third tweeted: "Maybe Unseen Bits will show when Olivia and Kai became a thing because I am in confusion."
Meanwhile, a fourth fan said: "Kai… Olivia was there from day ONE you do know this!?" as another tweeted: "What happened to Olivia and Tom?"
It comes after reports that two Islanders have been dumped from the villa, following viewers being asked to vote for their favourite boys.
Those with the fewest votes risked being dumped from the villa, and it seems this has already taken place.
Host Maya Jada has returned to the villa with big news in scenes already filmed, and it’s believed after her arrival two Islanders were axed from the villa.
It has been claimed that because of the sudden decision, filming of the programme went on until the early hours.
“Love Island dumped two contestants from the villa last night," a source told the Sun.
“It came as a shock to the cast and the scenes will leave fans on the edge of their seats.
"At first it was believed only one islander would be leaving but two went - the public vote is always hard as the islanders have no idea how they are being perceived in the outside world."
Newcomers Casey and Jordan were exempt after they arrived as bombshells earlier this week.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
