Love Island 2023 's Lana Jenkins left viewers a bit puzzled during the latest episode, after a comment she made about Tanyel Revan.
Things were a little frosty after Lana was left in tears on Friday night, following Tanyel picking Ron Hall in the recoupling.
Ron was paired up with Lana and they shared their first kiss just before the recoupling, having decided to focus on each other.
But Tanyel, who admitted liking Ron in a recent episode, had other ideas as she split the couple up.
In the aftermath, Lana asked Tanyel for a chat to clear the air and find out why she picked Ron.
It's then that she made a comment about their friendship that left some viewers confused, believing they had missed something.
Lana told Tanyel she was her best friend in the villa, and that was why she was so confused by her decision.
Tanyel didn't exactly deny this, leading to fans questioning "since when" they were such good friends - and also how Tanyel could betray her "best friend" in the villa in that way.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "huh! lana & tanyel are 'best mates' since when pls."
Another said: "How do they become 'best mates' so quick?" as a third tweeted: "huh Tanyel and Lana are best mates?"
Meanwhile, one fan said: "How can you be best mates but take her man? girl bye the fakery is FAKING."
Another asked: "Best mates Lana? What is Tanyel doing then loool," echoed by another tweet that read: "Best mates in there? And she just took your man."
It comes following the first dumping of the series so far on Friday night, as a result of the first recoupling.
David Salako was sent home after he was not picked by any of the girls in the villa, amid explosive scenes.
The 24-year-old money adviser who hails from Essex became the first Islander to be booted off the show, despite only being in for a couple of days.
He was visibly gutted by the twist and seemed shocked, given he thought he had something good going on with Tanya Manhenga.
Tanya had told him she was open to getting to know him, while she was still keen on Shaq Muhammad - who she’d been paired up with since day one.
When it came to Tanya picking who to pair up with, she went with Shaq leaving David visibly surprised and upset.
David wasn’t the only one left emotional by the recouping though, as Lana Jenkins was left in tears thanks to Tanyel Revan.
Tanyel chose Ron Hall after her partner Kai Fagan was taken by Anna-May Robey.
While Tanyel had expressed an interest in Ron to some Islanders, it came a shock to him and Lana as they had just told the villa they’d shared their first kiss.
Lana fought back tears and made a jibe at Tanyel, as she picked Will Young - sending David home.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
