Love Island fans were left "screaming" in hysterics last night after a particularly awkward moment between paramedic Paige Thorne and Italian stallion Davide Sanclimenti.
The 24-year-old, from Swansea, attempted to chat up bombshell Davide after he made his surprise entrance in the villa.
But she raised eyebrows when Paige said: "I'm obsessed with romantic books and mafia books and that kind of thing. So it's really set my expectations for relationships to somewhere up here.
"In real life, obviously guys don't act like they do in the books and then I'm just disappointed."
Fans flocked to Twitter in hysterics, with one tweeting: "she is not mentioning the mafia infront of him because he’s Italian I’m f***in screaming."
While another commented: ""I'm obsessed with Mafia books" LOOOOOL how is this girl chatting up Davide – an Italian man – like this??? #LoveIsland."
A third joked: "Not her thinking davide part of a mafia girl this isn’t a smut novel LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO #loveisland."
Another reminded her: "paige ??? MAFIA BOOKS ??? pls he isn’t massimo : #loveisland."
"she’s really telling him about mafia books just cos he’s italian… #LoveIsland," one quipped.
A fan pointed out: "“Mafia books” STOP HES NOT FROM THE MAFIA #LoveIsland."
Another asked: "Mafia books? To the Italian man? Is this how gen Z chirpse? #LoveIsland."
One joked: "no way she said mafia books infront of the Italian guy. I am done. #loveisland."
It comes after Gemma Owen caused some upset last night among viewers as she continued to brutally mug off Liam.
Michael Owen's daughter, 19, was not impressed when she was paired up with the Welsh student.
She made her dislike known and, as all of the Islanders played 'truth or dare', Gemma refused to kiss Liam - leading Paige to give him an awkward lap dance so that he didn't feel left out.
Earlier, she also mocked Luca's surname - and fans were not impressed.
Among those criticising Gemma was former Islander Marcel Somerville, who tweeted: "Yo can’t lie Gemma’s energy is mad! How she coming across like this on the first day! The rudeness #loveisland."
While Chloe Burrows wrote: "Gemma ur attitude STINKS mate #loveisland."
