Love Island's infamous Movie Night returned which certainly stirred a lot of drama
This wasn't the only drama that viewers saw unfold as Mitch and Casa Amor bombshell Abi went on their first date.
In a subtle swipe at the women he has previously coupled up with, he commented: "First proper date with a girl I actually like." As they headed to a secluded beach to enjoy paddleboarding, the Yorkshire-born Islander appeared to be struggling as they ventured out into the water. However, Abi soon came to his rescue as they enjoyed a kiss with one another.
But fans were not happy as they tuned into the programme as they all had the same complaint just minutes in. Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "starting out with a mitchel date… boring get to the drama please #loveisland.
A second penned: "I have to watch a mitchel and abi date before we get to movie night? this was never part of the deal #LoveIsland." Before a third went on to add: "I don’t want to see Abi and Mitchel’s date, lets just get straight into movie night pls. #LoveIsland."
"Why are we being forced to watch a mitchel abi date we do not care #loveisland," fumed another. Before a fifth commented: "I just think it’s quite disrespectful that it’s Movie Night and they’re wasting our time with the likes of Zach and Molly in the Hideaway and Mitchel and Abi on a date… like come on we have things to do, roll the tapes #LoveIsland."
Fans were certainly set for a dramatic showing as Movie Night unfolded in the main villa as Casa Amor came to an end. The Islanders sat down to watch their antics be shown on the big screen, leaving several completely gobsmacked. As the Islanders prepare to settle down for the night, their evening is rocked as they receive a text reading: "Islanders, It's time to get your glam game strong and hit the red carpet as tonight is Movie Night #FrontRowSeats #SweetOrSalty."
As the lights went down, the boys and girls went head to head as each team was tasked with answering a question, with the team closest to the right answer being given the chance to select a movie.
"This is my kind of night roll the tapes, roll the tapes…" said Whitney. As they sat down, they were given the titles The Lying, The Mitch and The Wardrobe, Double Sammy, Some Like It Scot, Ty Hard, The Great Zachsby, To El and Back, Lochan, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Speed 2: Ouz Control, Cat-Urday Night Fever, Wild Wild Jess, The Iron Kady, Dangerous Leah-aisons, Along Came Mollu, Friends Whit Benefits, Abitar, Ambers Web, Sin-Der-Ella and The Full Montel.
But as the drama continued, being her true self, Whitney exclaimed: "Well Movie Night was Movie Nighting!" However, it all became too much as two Islanders came to blows following the dramatic fallout.
