Love Island fans have been left disappointed after Edinburgh hunk Jay Younger has been dumped from the villa.
The 28-year-old fitness buff was dumped from the villa alongside partner Chyna Mills, after the remaining Islanders had to decide who went home. The two couples, Jay and Chyna, alongside Dami Hope and Summer Botwe, received the fewest votes from the public and the decision of who to dump was made by the safe Islanders.
Due to Dami's connection with Indiyah, the group decided to save Dami and Summer. "So, obviously it goes without saying that it's not been an easy decision," Gemma Owens announced.
"I think it's the worst feeling having to send a couple home. I think we feel particularly bad for you girls because you've not had long in here to explore connections and we realise it's not a nice situation for you guys to in."
Upon leaving the villa, Jay said: "I feel great, I feel like it was my time," before revealing what it was about Ekin-Su that had initially grabbed his attention. "Ekin is obviously a beautiful lady, a very strong lady. I just thought she had a bit of a wild side to her and I thought, I’m here to have fun," Jay explained.
"She’s a really attractive girl, I got on well with her the best on our dates. I seemed to click with her instantly so I just thought, why not?"
Jay had a bumpy road in the villa, but became a fan favourite in the end after his honest and respectful approach while the girls were in Casa Amor. On Monday nights episode, after everyone said goodbye to Jay and Summer, Davide sweetly called the Scotsman his best friend in the villa.
It was a hard decision for the Islanders to make, but viewers didn't necessarily agree with their choice.
One wrote: "I wish they’d kept Jay and not brought Adam back. Disliked him the first time round definitely do not think he deserves another chance…" Another penned: "I'm really sad that Davide has lost Jay :("
"Idk man I liked Jay’s vibe and calmness sad to see him leave," wrote one viewer. Another said: "Jay really was kinda a weird one but I think he was sweet and just really never felt anyone in there"
A fifth penned: "Can’t believe they picked Dami over Jay to stay!! Dami ruined his chance with the Casa girls!!! Jay was a really great, genuine guy!" Another fumed: "DAMI IS SUCH A PICK ME. LIKE YOU CAN'T BE EVERYONE BEST MATE. JAY WAS A BETTER MATE. BYE."
"mannn ima miss Jay," another fan tweeted. "Jay was such a gent on Love Island. Classy boy," said another.
