Love Island fans have been left disappointed as they pointed out a string of twists have been left out of this series.
Viewers of the ITV2 show have been making public pleas on Twitter for the producers to bring back the postcard twist, Twitter challenge and Movie Night challenge, too.
One wrote: "I feel like we need more postcards … the Twitter challenge etc #LoveIsland".
Another added: "Love island used to be interesting with challenges and postcards but now it’s all talking and talking and nothing new even Adam couldn’t revive it for me honestly #loveisland".
While a third complained: "Extended it by 20 mins and gave us…NOTHING?! We’ve had no postcards, no movie night, no Twitter challenge".
"Twitter is more entertaining than this episode. We got no postcard, no movie night, no tweet challenge… what is this show?," a fourth viewer said.
In previous series, a post card has been delivered to those in the main villa showing the antics going on in Casa Amor as the boys and girls are separated.
The postcard has been a guaranteed way to cause a stir in previous series with Amber Davies and Gabby Allen being left upset in the 2017 series when they saw photos of Kem Cetinay and Marcel Somerville locking lips with bombshells.
And, in 2021, the girls in the main villa were shocked with the revelations of the postcard as Faye Winter was left raging as Teddy Soares was seen cosying up to a Casa Amor girl.
Meanwhile, Love Island bosses announced the decision to cancel the Twitter challenge in 2020 after the show was accused of using fake tweets.
Insiders told The Sun Online at the time: "The Twitter challenge won't be on this year's series - it hasn't been ditched for good, it's just not happening on the winter season."
The last series to have a tweet challenge was in 2019, where Molly-Mae Hague was branded a "game player" leaving her fuming.
Meanwhile, fans have also been pleading for the return of the Movie Night challenge.
One viewer tweeted: "At this point we’re never going to get a movie night #loveisland".
"controversial opinion but i actually think it’s too late for movie night now," another added.
A third demanded: "Even the Islanders were bored give us movie night or we’ll riot".
"LI are foolish to not have done the movie night earlier," a fourth wrote.
Last year, the movie night challenge saw the beginning of the end for Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish, who were tipped to win the series.
Islanders were separated into two teams; the boys and the girls. They were tasked with answering a question and the winning team were allowed to view a clip of their choice from the series.
One clip saw Jake admit he didn't find Liberty attractive as he said: "Literally when talking to Liberty it's like talking to Jake with a wig on but there's not that 100% where I look at her and go...
"I haven't got the girl there where I'm like: 'F**k me I wanna rip your clothes off'."
Following the dramatic scenes, Liberty and Jake faced a number of issues in their romance and decided to cool things off and leave the villa three days before the final.
