Love Island 2023 fans are desperate for answers, amid fears the current favourites to win Kai and Sanam will be axed from the show in the next episode.
Wednesday night saw a brutal dumping twist as Olivia and Maxwell lost their place in the villa, before host Maya Jama dropped some big news.
There were three other couples at risk asides Olivia and Maxwell, and it seemed one more couple was going home.
Maya confirmed that two more Islanders were about to be sent packing and that the decision was in the hands of the dumped Islanders.
Olivia and Maxwell were shocked to find out they had all the power ahead of their own exit, and it appeared to be the other three vulnerable couples who were at risk.
But Love Island's social media pages soon threw things into chaos, when a post on their official Instagram page hinted there was an even bigger twist at play.
They wrote: "Two more Islanders will be dumped from the Island, and their fate is in Olivia and Maxwell's hands.," alongside images of all of the couples on the show.
It wasn't just Claudia, Keanan, Rosie, Casey, Tanya and Shaq in these images, but also Samie, Tom, Lana, Ron, Will, Jessie, Kai and Sanam.
Viewers immediately wanted answers and some clarification from the show, unsure of what the twist actually meant.
Many fans also began fearing that if Olivia was able to vote off anyone, she could end up going for Kai after their recent drama.
Olivia has had it in for her former flame ever since he moved on with Sanam, despite her also moving on with Maxwell.
Realising there could be more Islanders now at risk, fans asked ITV to spill the beans - as they panicked Kai and Sanam were now at risk.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "you all need to confirm if olivia and maxwell can pick any couple or just the couples in the bottom because what the f**k."
Another said: "Nah hang on olivia and max can pick any couple did i get that right not just from the bottom 3 omg that's an evil twist."
A third fan added: "Can Olivia and maxwell choose any couple or only from the bottom three?? cause if it’s anyone of course she’ll pick Kai and Sunam which is insane power to give her."
The comments kept on coming too with a fourth reading: "Some people are saying Olivia and Maxwell can pick anyone, others are saying only those who were bottom 4... do we know?"
On fears for Kai, another said: "Olivia is literally gonna pick Kai and Sanam. She’s literally gonna say 'im choosing Kai cause he wasn’t man enough to apologize to me'."
The Mirror has reached out to ITV for clarification on the twist.
