Love Island fans think they have found the perfect person to host the next series of the reality show - and they already work for ITV.
Earlier this week, Laura Whitmore announced that she was stepping down from the role after hosting three years and since then, plenty of names have been thrown into the mix.
The likes of Emily Atack, Maya James and even 2022 contestant Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu have been suggested, but one name that we weren't expecting is Rylan Clark.
Taking to Twitter, viewers have started a campaign to get Rylan on the dating show.
One person tweeted: "I’m just going to throw this out there but don’t you think @Rylan would be the perfect person to replace Laura on #LoveIsland?"
Another posted: "@Rylan after reading Laura has quit love island, I think you’d be an amazing replacement. Just saying."
A third fan claimed: "Rylan is the only male presenter that comes to mind, who’d be perfect for Love Island. #TalkswithAsh."
And another added: "I can't get Rylan out of my head as the next presenter but he's such an obvious man choice lol. He would suit it though #loveisland."
Someone else posted: "@Rylan … you should definitely be the new host of Love Island! Just saying! xxx."
However, Maya Jama and Vick Hope are reportedly the front-runners to host Love Island, with both said to be vying for the job.
A TV source told The Sun : “They’re viewed as two glamorous, fun figures who would also bring a slightly cooler edge to the format.
“Over the past three years they’ve both seen their careers go from strength to strength, and have the high profile to match that of the hit ITV show. It’s going to be a close call who ITV bosses will pick in the end.”
The winner of Love Island 2022, Ekin-Su Culculoglu, is William Hill’s favourite to replace Laura, with 7/2 odds to return and present the show in 2023.
Also in the running for the position are Emily Atack, priced at 6/1, while another familiar face on the island, Maura Higgins, follows at 7/1.
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny, said: “Seemingly loving her time in the Love Island villa, Ekin-Su could be the ideal replacement for Laura Whitmore. The early signs suggest she’s got every chance of hosting next year’s series.
“Much loved TV personalities Emily Atack and Maya Jama also look to be suitable replacements at 6/1, and Maura Higgins, who enjoyed her time on the island, rounds off the favourites at 7/1.”
