Love Island fans call for Zachariah to be axed from villa after admission to Catherine

Love Island viewers demanded an "immediate" exit for one Islander, as Zachariah set his sights on another girl after appearing to grow close to Catherine.

Fans wanted him out of the villa, after his treatment of Catherine and his refusal to apologise.

Sunday night's episode saw the bombshell take Molly for a chat and admit his feelings about possibly getting to know her, leaving Catherine understandably confused.

He'd just told her how much he was enjoying spending time with her, and that their coupling felt "natural" and was going well - before giving her a kiss.

But within hours, he was seen speaking to Molly about being an option for her, as Catherine and some of the others watched on confused.

Things got all the more brutal and baffling though, when Zachariah let Catherine down hugely during the challenge.

Each boy was tasked with picking a girl to give flowers to, before they had to share a steamy kiss.

Instead of picking his partner Catherine, who believed they were getting on well, he opted to pick Molly.

Zachariah even led Catherine on, as he slowly walked up to her in the line of girls before walking away.

The moment didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the group who were stunned, but it only got worse.

It's then that he stepped in front of Molly, handed her the flowers before kissing her in front of his shocked Islanders.

Molly was visibly surprised and awkward by his gesture, and as he kissed her the camera showed other Islanders gasping over the move.

Catherine was left worried about what it meant, and told some of the girls it had shown what he may be like on the outside.

It clearly planted doubts in her mind about things working with them. As Catherine called him "disrespectful" he refused to apologise before admitting he probably didn't handle things the right way.

Viewers watching the scenes unfold begged the show to boot the contestant out of the villa for the way he was treating Catherine.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Zachariah is unwilling to apologise for his disrespect… get him out this villa."

Another agreed: "GET ZACHARIAH OUT OF THE VILLA WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT."

A third fan wrote: "get Zachariah out the villa now! Cos it’s not even the fact he wants Molly, he’s just mad disrespectful and not upfront w Catherine at all."

It comes as the show dumped its first contestant in the summer 2023 series on Friday, following a recoupling.

George Fensom was sent home after the arrival of bombshell Sammy, as the girls had to pick which boy to couple up with.

Ella chose Tyrique whilst Ruchee coupled up with Andre. Catherine decided to pick Zach, and Molly left everyone guessing before picking Mitchel. Jess chose new boy Sammy, whilst Whitney chose Medhi.

Speaking after his exit, George said: "I’ve had an absolute blast, dropping loose game and making everyone laugh. The experiences I’ve had, the people I’ve met and the lifelong friendships that I’ve formed have made my Villa experience very worthwhile. I wish everyone in there the best Villa experience and I can’t wait to see them all on the outside."

George has since suggested why he thinks he was given the boot by the girls.

George said he went on the show to find his future wife, but he seemed upbeat about why he was chosen to hop it when he returned to social media.

Filming himself, wearing a pair of designer shades, he said: "Left the villa too soon, but do you know what I was obviously too leng.

"But yeah obviously appreciate all the support, thank you for all the messages and yeah, just give me a couple of days just to sort my bits out and I will get replying and we will talk about plans moving forward. Bosh."

Love Island airs all this week at 9PM on ITV2 and ITVX.
