Love Island fans call for contestant to be axed amid 'uncomfortable' age gap row

Love Island viewers have furiously hit out at the ITV2 show's latest sex position challenge amid the ongoing row about the large age-gaps between some of the contestants.

It was challenge day for the islanders as the Casa Amor contestants went head-to-head with the main villa with the hopes of winning a wild party for the night ahead.

However, before they were granted the go ahead from Love Island bosses, the islanders were given the task of performing several different sex positions and kissing the contestant who they found most attractive in the latest saucy challenge.

It wasn't long before the smooching began and eagle-eyed viewers were left feeling increasingly uncomfortable after Casa Amor bombshell Amber, 19, locked lips with Tyrique, who is currently 24.

Taking to Twitter to call out the kiss, one viewer fumed: "I can't watch a 19 year old snog a grown man on TV."

"Okay but seriously, 19 and 20 year olds shouldn't be on this show, this is so uncomfortable to watch," another echoed.

"Nah I don't like watching a 19 year old snog grown men on TV, maybe it's just me," someone else complained.

"Feeling very very very uncomfortable watching Love Island tonight. When did it get SO sexual. My goodness," another added.

Meanwhile, another Love Island viewer pointed out: "Not the 19 twerking on a 25 year old."

It comes after Love Island viewers called out ITV producers for allowing Casa Amor bombshell Amber to appear on the show at the age of 19 - with several arguing she is 'far too young' to be on the raunchy show.

Amber made her first appearance during Sunday's episode when told her fellow islanders that she was dating nine boys at the same time on the outside before taking part in the summer series of the ITV2 show.

Fans of the series have now called for the minimum age to be raised to 21 after Amber's participation in the series.

Amber is the daughter of former footballer Dennis Wise, who played for Chelsea from 1990 to 2001.

During tonight's episode, Amber made it clear that she had eyes for Tyrique as the pair bonded over football, with the rising reality TV star telling the professional footballer that she needs a 'sporty' man in her life.

The Mirror has reached out to a Love Island spokesperson for comment.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
