Love Island fans have been demanding that presenter Maya Jama makes a swift return to their screens as they wonder where she is. Earlier this week, the ninth series of the hit ITV2 reality show kicked off, with a brand new group of singletons sashaying their way into the luxury South African villa to find love.
All eyes were on Maya on Monday night (January 16) as she slow-mo strutted into the villa for the very first time. The 28-year-old wowed viewers watching along at home with her trio of jaw-dropping looks, which included a red crochet co-ord, a flowy green dress, and a strappy black cutout look.
Maya's amazing new role was officially announced by ITV last year after much speculation from fans. The Bristolian bombshell is Love Island's third host as she picks up the baton from Laura Whitmore, who took over from the late Caroline Flack in early 2020.

But Maya's heavy presence in the series premiere on Monday night has spoilt viewers, who have been expecting to see way more of her as the winter edition of the show continues. As Maya-less episodes air, fans have been demanding to see more of the former Radio 1 DJ on social media.
Love Island viewers have claimed that the show is 'boring' without Maya. On Twitter, Mols wrote: "Either this series of #LoveIsland is really boring or I'm getting old because I'm not enjoying it even a bit (except for Queen Maya obvs)."
"Okay I'm over these dead conversations," said Lune. "When the f*** is Maya Jama coming back?"
Following her Love Island debut, Maya thanked fans for their support on Tuesday, telling them she was 'overwhelmed'. Posting a series of snaps of herself in her strappy black Monot dress, Maya wrote on Twitter: "Overwhelmed from last night, thankyou so much for you're [sic] kind words."
