Love Island explodes as Cheyanne exposes 'cheat' Jacques after he picks Paige

Love Island aired brutal scenes on Thursday night, as the recoupling tore couples apart and sent bombshells packing.

But one of the axed bombshells had a score to settle, after she was brutally dumped hours after getting cosy with Jacques O'Neill.

New girl Cheyanne Kerr had been led to believe she had a shot with Jacques, who had apparently moved on from current partner Paige Thorne while she was remaining loyal in Casa Amor.

As the recoupling got under way, there was a shock as Jacques made his decision during 'stick or twist', and told host Laura Whitmore that he was picking Paige.

The decision noticeably left some of the Islanders surprised, as Cheyanne didn't look too impressed.

Jacques then had to watch as Paige entered, to see if she too had stuck with him which she had done.

As Paige walked in she was emotional and thrilled to see Jacques standing alone by the fire pit, realising he hadn't recoupled.

The pair were all smiles as they embraced and shared a kiss as the girls looked happy for her.

But the truth was written across all of the boys' faces, and the new girls, as they watched Jacques' decision play out, after his antics with Cheyanne.

As the moment unfolded, it came to Laura revealing which Islanders had been left single and would therefore be dumped from the villa.

Jack, George, Samuel, Jazmine, Mollie and Cheyanne were all dumped then and there.

As Laura asked them about their time on the show and about not being picked, Cheyanne chose her moment to out Jacques for his behaviour - claiming she thought they had a connection.

As she said: "I suppose my version of test is different to someone else's," she said it was Jacques she had been getting to know.

She then detailed the things they got up to, leaving Paige in shock and Jacques trying to defend himself.

It comes after it was revealed that the latest episode of Love Island would be a little longer than usual to capture all the drama, as viewers prepared for 'one of the best episodes' ever filmed.

Fans of the ITV2 show learned they would be treated to an extra five minutes of footage, following the sensational fallout from Casa Amor and a dramatic recoupling.

A source close to the show told The Sun: "It's one of the best episodes of Love Island ever filmed. It's really explosive - viewers will be shocked at how much drama kicks off tonight.

"There are tears, rows, heartbreak. In eight series, there has never been a more explosive show. Fans should cancel plans to stay in and watch - it's that good."

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
