Love Island 2022 winners Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu risked an awkward meeting when they both attended the Barbie movie premiere in London tonight.
The pair, who split last month after 11 months together, both turned out on the pink carpet to celebrate the iconic Barbie movie hitting the big screen later this month.
The movie, which will hit cinemas on July 21, saw a star studded premiere with Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and Will Ferrell in attendance. Also joining the stars on the pink carpet were Davide and Ekin-Su, who did not arrive together and it's not known whether they met at the event.
The pair split at the end of last month, with Davide describing the break up as "a difficult time" on social media.
Ekin-Su shared snaps of herself with the movie's star Margot Robbie as the pair posed together in pink dresses for the occasion. Sharing a series of pictures to her Instagram, Ekin-Su wrote: "Icons only Margot you are magic".
Similarly Davide shared his own series of pictures from the premiere including selfies alongside Margot Robbie. For her snaps alongside the Barbie star, he wrote: "I’m a Barbie man, in a Barbie world".
This week Ekin-Su spoke out since the break up as she shared a statement with her 3.2 million instagram followers. She wrote: ""Hi everyone, I thought it was time to come back online to thank you so much for all of your messages over the past two weeks.
"It has shown me what a kind, supportive, strong community I have behind me. I took some much-needed time away with my family which has been really special but now it’s time to realign & get back to work.
"I have such an exciting year ahead & I want to fully focus on that. I really appreciate your ongoing support. Thank you for cheering me on."
At the end of last month Davide shared a statement announcing the break up from his Dancing On Ice and Love Island girlfriend as he wrote on Instagram: "Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.
"I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in any way possible."
Since the break up Davide has been enjoying time in Ibiza as he shot a campaign for BoohooMAN, which he is an ambassador for. During his time on the Spanish island he was pictured with a mystery substance before appearing to inhale it off his hand.
Addressing the questions around his behaviour and the substance, Davide shared an update to fans this week on Instagram as he wrote: "Ciao everyone, You may have seen some stories about me over my trip in Ibiza. It was no secret that the last few weeks have been difficult for me.
"There was speculation about my behaviour and a video which was questionable, however below the surface of this I did something that's not nice to see and was not acting like myself.
"The true story is not what has been described from a couple of pictures. I found myself in awkward situations in a vulnerable state...
"All I can say now is that I want to move on and focus on my career, my wellbeing and my loved ones. I hugely appreciated the many supportive messages around me. Thank you, Davide Xx".
