Love Island: Dami and Indiyah finally become official after romantic night in the hideaway

Irish Love Island fans saw Dubliner Dami Hope and Indiya Polack finally make their romance official after weeks of flirtation in the Majorcan villa on Friday night.

It's been quite the journey for the duo who started off in different couples, being paired with Ikenna Ekwonna and Amber Beckford respectively, by the public. And after the events of Casa Amor when Dami shared a kiss with bombshell Summer Botwe, Dami and Indiyah finally got some alone time and are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend after a romantic night in the hideaway.

As the lights switched on, Indiyah told Dami: "You’re now actually my boyfriend." Dami agreed and the couple later told the other Islanders their news. When chatting to the boys outside, Dami said of his night: "Thank you for giving me that opportunity.

He said: "Feels like you’re in a hotel away from the villa. In the morning, she called me her boyfriend."

Meanwhile, Indiyah told the girls about her romantic night with Dami, saying: "It was lovely, I had a great time." Later, when the islanders had to recouple, Indiyah decided to stick with Dami and she praised him for being "kind and caring."

She continued: "He makes me feel like a little princess and I'm glad that he's mine." Taking to social media, Irish fans seemed to be delighted for the couple.

One Twitter user said: "Glad to see Dami and Indiyah finally acting like a real couple and becoming officially boyfriend and girlfriend." Another person said: "What a sweet speech by Indiyah, I'm rooting for them to win now again!"

Love Island continues on Sunday night at 9pm on ITV2.
