Love Island curse strikes again as another star announces shock split

Love Island's Belle Hassan has confirmed she's single after splitting from her boyfriend Kane.

Belle and Kane kept their relationship relatively low-key but she previously opened up about going through a difficult time without disclosing what she was experiencing.

The reality star who appeared on the ITV2 dating programme in 2019 was confronted on social media by a fan who was unsure of Belle's relationship status.

Belle and Kane had been an item for two years following her split from Absolutely Ascot star, Rudi Hewitt.

During a question and answer, one of her 936,000 followers asked: "Are you single now?"

She responded: "Lool yes absolutely."

However, Belle appeared to hint that there was more at stake as she went on to explain: "I feel like you guys are going to want a story time on this which is why I've hid it for a while because no one wants to really talk about this stuff," alongside a laughing emoji.

Belle hasn't revealed why the pair decided to part ways but hinted that the reason may be disclosed in the future.

She went on to respond to another fan, explaining that she believes heartbreak could be a "good thing" and can help an individual with "growth".

The starlet has previously opened up on the darker side of finding fame, admitting that she was once too afraid to leave her house following her appearance on Love Island.

Earlier this year, she explained she was "going through the hardest time of her life" after a fan explained she was "glowing" and looked "so happy".

She responded: "I am going through what's probably the hardest time in my life right now and trying my best to still be happy for you guys."

In December 2021, Belle was "hit in the face" while on a night out which had detrimental effects on her mental well-being.

"Situations like that happen a lot to influencers on nights out," she said on the Secure The Insecure podcast before adding: "You know you get people coming up to you saying, 'You think you are something because you were on the telly' and I'm like, no I don't."

She went on to add: "I try to be nice to everyone and sometimes, in certain situations, you are only human, you do get into an argument and people do want to hurt you physically or verbally and they do want to be nasty to you, and I can only put that down to what people are going through in their own lives, and unfortunately they are unhappy."
