Love Island stars Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins have called time on their romance – three months after leaving the show.
The pair who coupled up with one another on Day 24, despite having an initial attraction sailed through the show.
However, despite their genuine interest in each other, fans crowned Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan as the winners.
But while they may have seemed perfect on the outside, sources have since said that the couple have parted ways.
A source said: "Lana and Ron really put everything into their romance and have tried to make things work for some time now.
"Unfortunately, they have decided to separate, which is a decision they have made amicably and of course, they still remain good friends."
The source added to the Daily Mail how distance between the pair played a part in the end of their romance.
"Commuting from Manchester to Essex and back again whenever they wanted to spend time together, as well as managing their work commitments just proved too difficult," they remarked.
The news of Ron and Lana's split comes just days after the Essex-native took to Instagram to gush over his girlfriend.
Sharing snaps of them on a beach in Spain, the looked more loved up than ever as he gazed at his girlfriend.
Ron captioned his upload: "Te Amo," which translates to "I love you," from Spanish.
Several weeks ago, the couple opened up to the Mirror about the next step in their relationship.
"We each want to buy a house by ourselves first and then we can share houses," said Lana, before Ron added: "I think we’ll do it like a normal couple.
"We’ll each have our own space and our own bases and then move in together when it’s that natural development."
Lana added that they would be setting up a home in Manchester, where she currently lives.
Before their split, Ron couldn't help but gush over his former girlfriend and admitted that he struggled when she was not around.
During an appearance on Gogglebox stars Joe and George Baggs' Not My Bagg podcast, he explained: "We've been out six weeks now, I reckon we've spent six days apart.
"When she's not there, I do text her, it's so bad, I'm like 'Oh this is s**t, innit? I do miss you.'"
He joked: "I'm like 'How far have I fallen? Am I actually that guy?'
"I've got four pillows right, and I'm like this, spooning them, I'm like 'Do you reckon I could get a blonde wig to just pretend she's here?'"
