Love Island's savage recoupling leaves three contestants single and six bombshells dumped

Love Island's Casa Amor provided viewers with tremendous entertainment as the contestants struggled between staying loyal and finding a new connection.

On Wednesday's episode, ITV2 host Maya Jama walked into the villa for the dreaded Casa Amor recoupling.

A lot of new connections were made while some stars made the decision to stick with their original partner.

Following an hour of classic Love Island suspense, four contestants were left single, including Kady, Tyrique, Scott and Jess.

Sammy made the decision to couple up with Dennis Wise's daughter Amber while Whitney looked over the moon as she walked in with Lochan.

After a rollercoaster ride of a relationship, Zach made the "obvious" decision to re-couple up with Molly Marsh - who was previously brutally dumped from the villa.

However, Kady made the decision to walk into the villa in hopes to reconnect with Zach.

"She's back! Welcome back!" a tense Kady said to Molly.

Molly proceeded to give her a tense smile before Maya asked if she was shocked about the return.

"A little bit, yeah," Kady said to which Maya said: "Last time you saw her things were a little bit different."

Montel wanted to stick with Leah and his decision proved worth it when she walked through the doors alone.

Scott also made the decision to stay loyal but Catherine found a better connection with Elom and brought him with her.

"I don't live life with regrets so what I felt in the moment is what I went with," Catherine said when asked about her choice.

Mitch, who was previously with Jess, decided to move on with Abi and looked over the moon at his decision.

Jess kept a smile on her face as she returned to the villa on her own and seemed more shocked by Molly's return than Mitch's and Sammy's new connections.

Last but not least was Tyrique, who "closed things off" with Ella before Casa Amor began.

He chose to stick with Ella but she walked through the door with fellow model Ouzy.

The original contestants were shocked and Mitch was even seen frowning and shaking his head.

Following the final recoupling, Maya told the six single Casa Amor girls and boys there time on the was over, with the villa bidding farewell to Benjamin, Cody, Zachary, Tink, Gabby and Daniella.

Original contestants Kady, Scott and Tyrique are now single but remain in the villa.

Viewers were divided by the dramatic recoupling and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

"Nahhhhhhhh Ty I’m actually gutted for him," one user said while another posted: "The only person I feel bad for is Scott, Ty can go kick rocks."

One person commented: "So happy Ella humbled this guy!!! A baddieeeee"

"Omg yikes. Kady baby, sorry yeah," one embarrassed fan said about Zach choosing Molly.

A Love Island fan was feeling positive and admitted: "Lol don’t jump me but I still have faith for Catherine and Scott."

Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2 and is available to stream on ITVX*
