Love Island bombshell Jay Younger finishes first week back at work after stint in villa

Love Island star Jay Younger has finished his first week back in the day job following his stint in the Majorca villa.

The Scottish bombshell entered on day nine of this year's series alongside Remi Lambert and definitely caught the attention of the girls as the pair strutted into the villa. He ended up having a secret roof terrace snog with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - she went on to win Love Island 2022 with Davide Sanclimenti - not long after his arrival before recoupling with the Turkish soap star.

However, it did not go to plan for the 28-year-old gym enthusiast despite recoupling with Paige Thorne, Danica Taylor and Chyna Mills, leaving with the latter shortly after Casa Amor.

But despite his new-found fame, where he has racked up more than 298,000 Instagram followers, he has returned to his day job as an investment analyst in Edinburgh.

Taking to his Instagram story on Friday evening, Jay - wearing a pink shirt while sat at his desk - posted a smiling selfie with his laptop full of data and a caption: "First week back" followed by a black tick. Underneath the caption, he engaged with his followers by asking "what would you like to know about investing?"

He was granted two months of unpaid annual leave so that he could take his opportunity on the Spanish island, something he is "really grateful" for. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror last week, Jay admitted he was not fussed about chasing fame after his spell on the popular ITV2 reality dating show.

He said: "I don't think my life will change that much if I'm being honest. I'm going back to work on Monday and sure there's some commercial opportunities out there in the short term, but I think longer term I'll be back at work doing my thing and back to my day job."

When asked how his work colleagues will react to his stint on Love Island, he said: "I think they're just happy that I've come out unscathed and I'm alright, and then hopefully I can start working hard and producing good work for them and then they'll judge me on that!"

Last weekend he was invited to We Are FSTVL, which was held in Upminster, by Pretty Little Thing as he still rakes in the opportunities given to him since leaving the villa.
