Love Island axes Tanyel Revan in brutal dumping ahead of Casa Amor twist

Love Island have axed Tanyel Revan in a brutal dumping tonight.

A recoupling was teased at the end of last night's episode, when Tom received a text to confirm the boys would get to pick which girl they wanted to recouple with. As a result, the girl left standing would be booted from the villa.

It comes just before Casa Amor arrives for the Islanders, which will see their new and fragile relationships put to the test as a string of new guys and new girls enter the villa. Currently, the only solid couples are Jessie and Will and Tanya and Shaq.

It was no surprise that the two pairs picked each other in the recoupling, but the decisions were much harder for the others. Before the recoupling, Lana and Casey were together but she has since cooled things off with him in favour of getting back with Ron.

Ron was partnered with Tanyel in a friendship couple whilst Ellie and Jordan were together and Tom was with Samie, and Olivia with Kai. The arrival of bombshell Claudia Fogarty stirred things up a little, with her interest seeming to be in Casey and Tom.

However, it all shifted slightly tonight as the couples were decided.

Tom picked first and he chose Samie, whilst Shaq said he was the "luckiest man in the world" to be with Tanya. Unsurprisingly, Ron chose to couple up with Lana whilst Casey chose Claudia. Kai chose Olivia, whilst Will picked Jessie.

As Jordan was left to pick last, he had to choose between Ellie and Tanyel and went for the Business Development Executive, meaning Tanyel was booted from the villa in one of the show's most brutal dumpings yet.

Ahead of her stint in the villa, Tanyel admitted she was really fussy in her search for a man.

Many were convinced there was a spark between Tanyel and Ron (ITV)

"I’m single because I’m so fussy. When it comes to dating, I’ve had bad experiences but also good experiences, which have moulded me into who I am today," she explained ahead of her arrival on the show.

Tanyel became good friends with Ron during her time on the show, but never found someone who she connected with in a romantic way. She admitted she wanted someone cheeky and someone who would chase her.

She said previously of who she'd like to meet: "I can fancy someone so quickly and think that I’m in love, but I can easily fall out of love with them. When someone keeps me on my toes it's the chase that I like."
