Applications for Love Island are now open - are you ready for a long, hot summer?
ITV2 have confirmed that they are looking for vibrant Scottish singles to head into the villa in a new season of the dating show. The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders who ultimately decide their fate on Love Island.

Is there any specific criteria for applying?
All you need to apply for Love Island is to be over the age of 18 - yes, that's it. From footballer's daughters to plain old plumbers, Love Island wants it all.
So, what's the application process like?
The application process for Love Island
You can apply for the show via the link here. It starts off in the same way as other shows, asking for details like:
- Full name
- Age
- Address
- Email address
Then, it gets slightly more interesting, as they begin to ask for the following information:
- Full length photo
- Three optional extra photos
- Occupation
- Phone number
- Social media handles
You will also be asked to send in a short video, in landscape, chatting about yourself and what makes you suitable for the show. Other details include gender, sexuality, and details about your current job.
