Love Island 2023 viewers have reacted after Jessie Wynter went "off script" during the latest task. During the episode that aired on Tuesday, February 21, the couples received a text inviting them to play a game of Knowing Me, Knowing You.
The task was a compatibility challenge to find out how well the Islanders know one another. Prior to the game, the contestants caught up with their partners for some pre-challenge relationship revision, where they recapped on their birthdays, star signs, and number of sexual partners.
The challenge was awkward from the get go as Martin Akinola and Tanya Mahenga had to work together despite their explosive argument after deciding to cool things off. However, it was Jessie's answer to one of the questions that shocked the contestants and viewers at home the most.

When asked "who would your partner couple up with if he wasn't with you?," all of the Islanders chose a person currently in the villa, however, Jessie went "off script" and wrote Layla on her chalkboard. Bombshell Layla Al-Momani and Will Young kissed and shared a bed during Casa Amor, while Jessie remained faithful.
"I don't really think this one needs explaining," Jessie said as she turned her board around. The firepit then descended into chaos as the Islanders awkwardly put their hands over their faces.
"Jessie bringing up Layla, wow," Tom Clare simply stated in the beach hut, as a shocked Will said: "Jessie went off script, it was sore I'm not going to lie, that's not the game."
Reacting, one viewer said: "I love how petty Jessie is," while another added: "Jessie is never gonna let Will live it down."
"Right, just give Jessie the £50k for that alone I LOVE HER," said a third, while a fourth commented: "Jessie writing Layla on her board was peak comedy."
"Jessie bringing up Layla," commented a fifth. "Safe to say she’s not over it." Speaking later, Jessie asked Will: "How do you feel after that challenge?" with the pair putting their differences aside.
