Love Island 2023: New bombshells Zara Lackenby-Brown and David Salako promise to ‘spice’ up show

Love Island awaits two new bombshells tonight, who have promised to “spice” up the villa on arrival.

Zara Lackenby-Brown and David Salako were seen about to enter the South Africa residence at the end of Tuesday’s show, leaving viewers waiting in anticipation to see how they will be received by the Islanders.

The duo’s arrivals come after Will Young was left single in the villa as bombshell Tom Cane selected Olivia Hawkins to couple up with.

Property developer and model Lackenby-Brown, 25, has said she has “sass, vibes and good energy”, and confessed, prior to Love Island, that she’d been looking to go on the show “for a long time”.

“I’m a massive hype girl, I’m very complimentary so I hope to keep the vibes up in the villa,” Lackenby-Brown revealed.

“I’ll also bring spice, I’m a bit different and I don’t think there’s anyone in there that’s like me so I reckon I’ll keep things interesting.”

The Londoner shared her theory that she is single as she has “very high standards”, and isn’t afraid to go for what she wants in the villa.

“I’m very loyal but that means I sometimes put others before myself,” Lackenby-Brown continued.

“But this is Love Island so I’m not going to go in there and let the girls takeover because in the past I’ve been like, ‘If you like him, you have him.’”

The bombshell, who has appeared in music videos for Aitch and Tione Wayne, added: “My parents have a great relationship, I’ve got an amazing mother and father and I know what works in a relationship.”

Lackenby-Brown is joined on Wednesday’s show by Salako, 24, a financial advisor from Essex.

The newcomer is confident he’ll be able to find a girl in the villa, and promised “nothing but good fun, vibes” in any potential match he might find.

Classing himself as “very picky”, Salako said, prior to entering Love Island: “I haven’t met the right one yet. The person you’re going to meet is never going to be perfect, but I’ve got my standards, yeah.”

Salako also admitted that he falls “quickly” in relationships, adding: “If I like you I’ll put my whole 100% into you and that could lead me into liking you quickly.”

Viewers can catch the two new bombshells’ arrivals as Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
