It's fast approaching Love Island season and viewers can't wait to see what's in store for series 8 of the popular dating show. The official trailer for the 2022 version of the ITV2 programme dropped earlier this month and featured Love Island's narrator Iain Stirling.
The teaser clip took aim at rival dating shows as Iain instructed them to stand down and said: "That's right, the gods of love are here, letting you know that this summer, love is ours."
Love Island 2022's trailer ends with a nod to last year's winner, fashion buyer Millie Court, who won the series with Welsh bricklayer Liam Reardon. The pair were crowned winners last August and split the £50,000 cash prize between them after beating runners up Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran in the final.

ITV2 said: "Love Island is the OG of dating shows and after seven years of matchmaking, marriages and babies - for eight weeks this summer, we're officially owning love. So stand down all you pretenders - Love Is Ours."
But what date does Love Island 2022 start, who is presenting and who is in the rumoured line-up?
Love Island 2022 start date
The latest trailer promises that Love Island will return in June, which is just around the corner. And while an official date is yet to be announced, rumour has it that the new series will start on Monday, June 6.
Earlier this year, a source told The Sun: "Love Island is coming back with a bang and it will begin on the second full week in June. The schedules are being put together now and fans can expect a long, hot summer of fun from the villa from June 6."
Love Island 2022 presenter
Laura Whitmore will be returning to the villa as host of Love Island 2022. The television and radio presenter is reported to have signed a £500,000 deal to front the upcoming season.
