Nottingham Love Island star Ikenna Ekwonna stepped up his relationship with Indiyah Polack in Monday night's episode, but fans are not convinced. The pair have been coupled up for a week and have been taking things slow in the villa.
However, in tonight's (June 13) episode on ITV2, the pair shared a sweet moment in the villa garden as they opened up about their feelings. After the chat, the couple shared their first kiss with Ikenna saying it was "overdue".
Indiyah was seeking some reassurance from Ikenna about their relationship as she said to him: "Sometimes it is nice to know that you’re feeling me, that you’re interested or if it’s reciprocated." Ikenna replied and said: "You know how I feel anyway about you."
Inidiyah then said: "I know but you just say it…" The pair then shared their romantic first kiss on the sofa.
Once the kiss was over, Ikenna said: "I feel like this was overdue, but I wanted it to mean something." The pair then shared yet another kiss as they took their relationship to the next step.
But despite the two kisses and the pair seemingly getting closer, fans of the show are not convinced that Ikenna's feelings are genuine for Indiyah. After watching the moment on screens, viewers flocked to the social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts on the pair.
@AceAdoniss said: "Ikenna and Indiyah kiss was fake Lool." @felloutmars added: "Why did Ikenna look like he was forced to kiss Indiyah."
@silkworming said: "Ikenna and Indiyah forcing that kiss made me so uncomfortable." @rebeccaxrs said: "That kiss between Indiyah and Ikenna was so underwhelming and forced."
@yourgirlsyders added: "Was it just me that found the kiss with Indiyah and Ikenna awkward? It felt forced."
@benmcdowall5 said: "Poor Indiyha that kiss with Ikenna was so forced I couldn't even watch."
Later in the episode, Ikenna cooked breakfast for Indiyah once again, stepping up their relationship. Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
