Love is Blind fans have slammed Netflix after the live reunion was cancelled due to technical issues. The special edition of the hit dating show was scheduled to stream live globally at 1am BST on Monday (April 17).
But after a series of unexplained delays to its start time, the streaming giant cancelled the livestream at 2.30am and said the show would be pre-recorded instead. Some viewers in the US were able to watch the episode around 75 minutes after it was due to start, but most were met with an error message that read: “There’s an issue with the livestream”.
In a tweet posted at 2.29am, Netflix said: “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”

Netflix later confirmed the Love is Blind reunion show will be available to stream from 8pm in the UK. No explanation has been given for the delay but host Vanessa Lachey indicated it was a technical error in a live video on Instagram, BBC reported.
In the video – which has since circulated on Twitter – Lachey said: “Apparently everybody broke the internet to see this reunion.”

Some fans were reportedly able to catch the episode as it was streamed by other viewers on TikTok and livestream platform Twitch. But thousands of fans who were unable to watch the show have since taken to social media to slam Netflix for the problems.
On Twitter, @brownblaze said: “This can’t be the same Netflix that keeps raising prices and trying to hold our personal passwords hostage while offering consistently less in quality and quantity, could it??”
@JennnTooLegit said: “I’m EXTREMELY disappointed with the supposed LIVE reunion for Love is Blind. I gave up my Sunday afternoon and you completely let me down. After the tv buffered for so long, I gave up and watched it on Tiktok.”
@Julia_SCI added: “I’ve tried tv, laptop, and phone. Nothing. I’m giving up. Too angry.”
@tink1983928 added: “The fact that I still can’t watch the Love is Blind reunion while others are able to is making me irrationally angry. @netflix you did this all wrong. Don’t put it on until EVERYONE can see it.”
