A Louisville high school shut its campus for a full school day this week after students and families reported a social media video that alarmed them, and administrators consulted police before deciding that roughly 1,200 boys would not be coming to class.
Trinity High School in the St. Matthews area closed its campus as a precaution Tuesday, saying the decision was made out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with law enforcement. The school did not describe the content of the video or what specifically prompted the concern. Students were told to check email for assignment instructions, and administrators thanked the students and families who came forward, saying, "Speaking up is an important part of keeping our community safe."
